William S. Friedman has served as Chief Executive Officer and a Director of Tarragon since 1989. He has also been Chairman of the Board of Directors since December 2000. Before that Mr. Friedman and its predecessors was a real estate attorney and director of many public and private real estate investment and development companies. After graduating from Brandeis University, where he currently sits on the Board of Trustees, he served in the Peace Corps in the Dominican Republic and then earned a law degree from Columbia University.
Robert P. Rothenberg President & Chief Operating Officer
Robert P. Rothenberg was named President of Tarragon in June 2004 and has served as Chief Operating Officer and a Director of Tarragon since September 2000. Mr. Rothenberg has been the managing member of APA Management LLC, a real estate investment and management company, since 1994. He is also a Managing Member of Ansonia LLC, which together with Tarragon acquired close to 2600 apartments in the State of Connecticut since 1997. Mr. Rothenberg was a co-managing member of Accord Properties Associates, LLC, which managed the Ansonia portfolio in Connecticut and was acquired by Tarragon in January 2001. He previously founded and served as President of Venture Realty Group, Ltd., which invested in multifamily and industrial properties, from September 1992 through April 1996. Mr. Rothenberg graduated from the Harvard Business School in June 1984.
Erin Davis Pickens Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Erin D. Pickens, has been Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Tarragon since December 1998. She previously served as Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer, from September 1996 to November 1998, and Accounting Manager, from June 1995 to August 1996, for Tarragon and its predecessors. She has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1990. Erin is on the Board of Directors of Family Gateway, a charitable organization that provides comprehensive services to children from families in crisis. She is also active in Commercial Real Estate Women.
Kathryn Mansfield Executive Vice President, Secretary and General Counsel
Kathryn Mansfield was named General Counsel of Tarragon in June 2004 and has been Executive Vice President of Tarragon since December 1998 and Secretary and Corporate Counsel of Tarragon since May 1998. Prior to joining Tarragon, she was Vice President and Senior Counsel for C.B. Richard Ellis, Inc., from October 1994 through May 1998; Litigation Counsel for Basic Capital Management, Inc. from March 1990 through October 1994; and a litigation associate at Winstead, Sechrest and Minick, P.C. from June 1984 through March 1990. She is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law (J.D. 1984).
Todd C. Minor Executive Vice President and Treasurer
Todd C. Minor has been Executive Vice President of Tarragon since November 2001 and Treasurer of Tarragon and its predecessors since December 1996. He previously served as Senior Vice President – Mortgage Servicing and Financing from May 1995 to November 1996, Senior Vice President – Finance from March 1994 to April 1995, and Vice President from April 1991 to July 1993 of Tarragon's Predecessors, Vinland Property Trust and NIRT (National Income Realty Trust). Mr. Minor is a licensed Texas real estate broker and a Certified Cash Manager. He has an undergraduate degree in Finance and an M.B.A. in Real Estate Analysis.
Charles Rubenstein Executive Vice President and Chief Real Estate Counsel
Charles Rubenstein has been Executive Vice President and Chief Real Estate Counsel of Tarragon since December 1998. Prior to joining Tarragon, he was employed as General Counsel for Simpson Housing Limited Partnership in Denver, Colorado, from January 1996 to February 1998 and as a Real Estate Associate with the law firm of Andrews & Kurth, LLP, in New York, New York, from October 1987 to November 1995. He has been an attorney at law since 1984.
William J. Rosato President Tarragon Development Corporation
William J. Rosato was named President of Tarragon Development Corporation in September 2007. He previously served as Senior Vice President of Tarragon Development Corporation from February 2005 to September 2007 and Director of Construction from October 2003 to February 2005. Before joining Tarragon, Mr. Rosato managed development activities in the New York metropolitan area for Lincoln Property Company. Prior to that he held positions in the New York offices of Bovis Lend Lease and Skidmore Owings and Merrill. Mr. Rosato received his BA and Master of Architecture degrees from the University of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects and a licensed architect in the state of New York.
Michael C Johnson Executive Vice President, Tarragon Management
With Tarragon Corporation since 2003
Michael C. Johnson joined Tarragon Management Inc.(TMI) in April 2003 bringing 25 years of experience in the multifamily and commercial management industry. He presently oversees the property management operations for TMI and new business initiatives for the organization. Prior to joining TMI, he was the Vice President for ConAm Management overseeing third party management and operations throughout their Southeast region.
Mr. Johnson is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Management. He is recognized by the Institute of Real Estate Management as a Certified Property Manager and received his certification in 1985. He is a past member of the Advisory Board of Directors for the housing department at Florida State University and Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
